82 days to raise 8k!

We were contacted by a local Charlottesville television news station this morning and had a great talk with one of their reporters on the phone. They want to do a story about our organic film project. We decided to hold off on doing any television interviews at the moment until we can think out clearly what we want to say, and when. They wanted to interview us today for godssakes. So we made a plan to talk to them again in a week or two. Cat thinks we should wait until when we reach half of our goal on Kickstarter and get our sponsors lined up. Sounds reasonable. We're glad though that our project is getting so much attention. Thanks to everyone for coming by the site and showing your support!

Thank you for your pledges!

Wow! 17 of you out there have pledge $1,732 to our expedition!! Thank you to all of you. We need to meet our goal of 10k in the next 80 days in order to get the whole amount from Kickstarter to help us on our way. Already we are busy lining up sponsors, talking to farms and to farmers across the USA and in Central America, buying maps, studying websites of others who have made the journey before us and even doing a few interviews with local and national press along the way.
